Abstract

Rice is the staple food of most Indonesians, the use of pesticides and chemicals to control weed pests that attack rice crops becomes less effective because it becomes resistance to pests. This research aims to create a pest trap tool based on Arduino Microcontroller. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with system development methods using prototype models. Arduino Uno microcontroller is used as the center of the system controller, using 2 LDR sensors, the first LDR sensor as a relay drive as an automatic switch to turn on the lights that become traps because they are phototaxis. The second LDR sensor activates sim800L to send sms notifications to mobile phones when the lights are off at night. And a PIR sensor that detects the movement of pests approaching the device and makes relays send electricity to the wire metal that has been created. Based on the results of the tests that have been done, all components can work properly and according to their function and can provoke quite a lot of pests that die from traps that have been made.
